An Exercise in Perserverance
02Dec08
Writing consistently in an online space is hard for me. I lose steam, get interested in other things, don’t feel particularly creative/inspired, and want to stop. I think that undirected writing where I can talk about whatever I want is tough – I’m a lover of structure, so having open sky is a challenge for me. Today is one of those days, last week was one of those weeks. I don’t especially want to write about anything, but I know I should. So this is an attempt. Just me writing for the sake of writing, for the sake of publishing something, anything (even if it doesn’t have pictures or links), and for the hope that tomorrow will be a bit more successful. Cheers to that.

There’s a point in blogging (usually 6-7 months in) where you just kinda lose momentum and stuff… happened to me, happens to everyone. Someone gave me some good advice -just think of your blog like a big scrapbook or notebook, one that you’re happy to share but which is primarily for you… don’t obsess over everything you write or post… stick things in that you find interesting, or may find useful one day… what’s cool is when you look back at your blog after a couple of years, is that you’ve got a lovely resouce of cool stuff and thoughts and pics and notes and reviews and shit. Anyway, stick with it, B.
